Atletico San Luis has halted its city sports complex project due to lack of funding from the Mexican Football Federation. The club will seek alternatives to complete the work. The project, which includes spaces for the first team, lower categories and other operational areas, is seen as an important step for the growth of the institution. The club's executive director, Jacobo Payán Latuff, explained that the lack of funding forced the Potosino entity to seek alternatives to obtain the necessary resources. The club will seek to participate in local entrepreneurs linked to Atletico San Luis and Atletico Madrid, the majority shareholder of the team, to complete the development of the new sports complex. The Alfonso Lastras Ramírez stadium is not for sale and there is no negotiation to change the ownership of the property. The entry of the Apollo Sports Capital fund has already been approved in a shareholders' meeting and will be part of the society that Atletico Madrid maintains in Atletico San Luis. The club will focus on finding the financial mechanisms that will allow them to resume the construction of the new city sports complex.
